Recommended, as run on the developer's main live signal. The Robotic Trader rates Gold Trade Pro Recommended on the MT5 version as it runs on the main live signal that Profalgo Limited publishes on MQL5. That real-money account, verified by Myfxbook, turned €1,000 into a balance of €7,712.21 over three years, from September 2023 to October 2026, across 759 trades with a profit factor of 1.59 (MQL5). We found no grid, averaging or martingale in its history, and every position closed within 3.5 days. The developer says every trade opens with a stop; the losses in the history are consistent with that.
The cost is real, and you should expect it. The same account fell 31.95% on closed trades in 2024 (from €2,747.81 on 10 May to €1,869.99 on 29 October) and took 370 days to make a new high. It fell again in 2026, by €2,341.38 (26.68%, MQL5), and on 15 October 2026 it was still 12.1% below its 8 April peak. Most of the profit arrives on a small number of strong gold days: its best 7 of the 225 days it traded produced 84% of the net profit (our calculation). Up to eight strategies can enter the same breakout, so one failed breakout can cost several times a single trade's risk; the worst, by share of the balance, cost 12.28%.
This recommendation covers what the record covers. The signal's description says it runs "LotsizeStep=1000", but its trade sizes changed twice over the three years (see the settings row below), and the developer does not publish the signal's full settings file. The developer's second live signal runs a higher-risk setting (LotsizeStep=450) and fell 60.45% between April and June 2026; we do not recommend that setting. Both live records are MT5. The MT4 version has no live record we could check, so we have not assessed it.
What would change this verdict is set out in the disclosures below.
We assessed Gold Trade Pro on its live record, under Track 1 of our methodology. We read both live signals linked from the MQL5 product page, pulled each signal's closed-trade export from MQL5, and reconciled it with MQL5's published balance to the cent. The main signal is the same account as Myfxbook "Gold Trade Pro MT5 Live", which the vendor's own site links. We tested the histories for averaging, martingale, hedging and stacking, measured how long positions stayed open, checked how much of the profit depends on the best trades, days and entries, and tracked trade size against the balance.
We also read the MQL5 product pages for MT4 and MT5 and their update logs, the vendor's site and terms, its affiliate page, Trustpilot and other reviews. We also ran two prop-firm settings files linked from the MQL5 product page, the current Goldtrade_V4.0_prop firm.set and an older, since-replaced Goldtrade_Prop.set, through our FTMO test.
The two real-money MQL5 signals linked from the product page, read on 16 October 2026. The main signal, which this verdict covers, comes first.
On both signals MQL5 reports "algo trading" below 100% (94% and 88%). MQL5 does not say which deals were not placed or closed by the EA, and we have not established it.
Gold Trade Pro trades breakouts of daily support and resistance on XAUUSD using several built-in strategies. The MT5 product page and the vendor's site say 8; the MT4 page still says 7, from before the eighth was added in December 2023. The developer says each trade opens with its own stop and target and is then managed with a trailing stop. The stops themselves are not in the export, but the size of the largest losses is consistent with them.
We publish the longest positions because averages hide the ones that matter — see our methodology.
Quoted from the vendor's Gold Trade Pro page and the MT5 and MT4 product pages on MQL5, read on 16 October 2026.
The developer supplies prop-firm settings. The "Prop Firm Set File" on the MQL5 product page is a zip of four settings files, one of them Goldtrade_V4.0_prop firm.set (dated 23 September 2024). It runs all eight strategies, with the EA's own daily-loss stop set at 4%. This is the current file and the main result. The page also still links an older prop-firm file, which we tested too (below).
What we did. We ran each file unmodified on Gold Trade Pro MT5 version 7.0 in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, logged into an FTMO Free Trial so the prices, spreads and commission were FTMO's own: XAUUSD, daily chart, 1 January 2025 – 9 October 2026, every tick based on real ticks (99% history quality), £10,000 at 1:100, zero latency. FTMO's loss limits count open trades, so we rebuilt each account's equity minute by minute from FTMO's one-minute gold prices, valuing open trades at the worst price in each minute (the low for buys, the high plus spread for sells), converted to pounds at the rate implied by each trade's result. As a cross-check, the rebuilt lowest equity matches the tester's own (£9,716.18 against £9,716.19). This captures the worst point inside each minute but not the full tick-by-tick path, and slippage was not modelled.
The settings files and the developer's last strategy change (13 December 2024) predate the test window, and the update log shows no re-optimisation since. Later versions did change trade-management code, including "improved trailingSL/TP coding" in version 6.74 (2 October 2026), and we tested the current version 7.0, so this is a retrospective test, not a forward one.
FTMO's rules were read on 16 October 2026. For a £10,000 account the daily floor is the balance at midnight Prague time (CE(S)T) minus £500 on the 2-Step or minus £300 on the 1-Step, counting open trades, commission and swap. The 2-Step maximum loss is a fixed £9,000 floor; the 1-Step's trails £1,000 below the highest midnight balance. A phase is complete when the 10% target is reached with all positions closed, and we judge the limits up to that point.
The current file (Goldtrade_V4.0_prop firm.set)
Result for the current file: in our simulation it would have passed FTMO's 2-Step Challenge phase, narrowly on the daily limit, and failed the 1-Step.
The older file (Goldtrade_Prop.set)
The developer posted this file on MQL5 on 27 October 2023 as a "SET FILE FOR PROP FIRMS" that "will keep Max DD below 10% and max daily DD below 5%". He replaced it twice, on 10 November 2023 and 23 February 2024, before the current zip. The product page still links it, without a label. We did not test the two in-between files. It trades smaller: 0.01–0.03 lots per trade in our test, against 0.01–0.06 for the current file. We checked it the same way (rebuilt low £9,794.84 against the tester's £9,794.93).
The closest margins, £28.96 and £154.18, are small against the method's limits. Valuing open trades at each minute's worst price tends to overstate losses, while slippage and delays could push the other way.
These are tests of two configurations against one firm's published rules, over 1 January 2025 – 9 October 2026 at 99% real ticks. They are not an assessment of the Expert Advisor, and they do not predict future results. The rules tested were those published by FTMO and checked on 16 October 2026; prop firm rules change without notice.
The update log also records prop-firm features. Version 1.50 (2 November 2023) added a "Max Daily Drawdown" parameter "for propfirms", and version 3.0 (17 March 2024) improved it. In the developer's words, the log also records:
FTMO allows EAs. It warns that other traders may run the same EA, and so the same strategy, which can matter under its maximum capital allocation rule. These features do not in themselves show that any account broke a firm's rules, and randomisation was switched off in both files we tested. Read your firm's rules before using any EA on a funded account, these options included.
A conformance result is never a verdict on the EA.
