Happy Gold EA Review MT4/MT5

Recommended: MT4, Scalp, Risk 2% MT4/MT5 XAUUSD — Scalp/Swing €699 Full Pack (2 licences) Verified 12 Oct 2026

The Bottom Line

The Robotic Trader's verdict: Happy Gold EA is Recommended on the MT4 version, on its Scalp setting, with Risk set to 2%. Two real-money accounts whose track records are verified by Myfxbook have run that configuration since March 2024, and both have stayed profitable with drawdowns under 8% on closed trades.

The evidence is long and it is the vendor's own. The vendor, Happy Forex, publishes its Happy Gold accounts on Myfxbook. Two of them, at TMGM and Eightcap, carry Myfxbook's verified track record and both moved to the same risk level in March 2024. From 1 March 2024 to 8 October 2026 the TMGM account closed 483 trades with a profit factor of 4.71 and a largest fall in its closed balance of 5.19%; from 1 March 2024 to 12 October 2026 the Eightcap account closed 482 trades with a profit factor of 6.79 and a largest fall of 7.15% (our counts from each account's full trade history). Both hold one trade at a time, every trade has a hard stop, and trade size follows the balance, not previous losses.

The strongest evidence against it is what happens at higher risk. Happy Gold lets the buyer choose the risk per trade, and the vendor's own accounts run at about 5% reached drawdowns of 32.73% (OxS, verified) and 32.94% (Blueberry, not verified). The Scalp presets in the vendor's manual are 1%, 3% and 5%; 2% is not one of them, so you set it yourself. The homepage's "Profit Factor: 7.03 / Profitability: 92%" comes from the Eightcap account and appears to count break-even trades as profitable: on our count 75.4% of its trades made money and another 16.8% broke even, which together make 92.2%.

This recommendation covers what the record covers. Every live account is MT4. The MT5 version (v2.1) and the Swing setting are sold in the same pack and have no live record we could check, so we have not assessed them. Trades last seconds, so results will vary with your broker's execution. What would change this verdict is set out in the disclosures below.

Methodology
ⓘ

Evaluation Methodology

This review was conducted under our Track 1 framework, which applies where an Expert Advisor has a live record monitored by a third party. The vendor publishes nine Happy Gold accounts on its Myfxbook profile: seven real-money and two demo. We read all of them, and the full trade histories of the three whose track records Myfxbook verifies: TMGM (995 trades), Eightcap (733) and OxS (394). Our totals match Myfxbook's to the cent on all three.

From each history we measured the risk the account took per trade, whether trade size rose after losses, how long trades stayed open, whether any two positions were ever open together, how buys and sells performed while gold rose, and what is left when the most profitable trades are removed. We also read the vendor's product page, homepage, FAQ and terms, the vendor's current user manual (dated 30 August 2024, supplied by the vendor to our founder as an existing customer), ForexPeaceArmy and Trustpilot. We found no MQL5 Market listing for Happy Gold, so there is no MQL5 listing or community to check. How we test, and the criteria we apply, are set out in our methodology.

Note: live data in this review is a dated snapshot. The Myfxbook accounts and trade histories, the vendor's pages and terms were read on 12 October 2026; ForexPeaceArmy and Trustpilot on 11 October 2026. They are not a live feed. Each Myfxbook drawdown is the worst Myfxbook recorded; it samples equity each time the account updates, so a dip between updates may not show. Myfxbook does not publish open-trade profit and loss, so drawdowns we calculated are on closed trades.

The Accounts Behind the Verdict

Real-money accounts published by the vendor on Myfxbook, recorded by us on 12 October 2026. Risk per trade is our estimate from each account's history: lot size multiplied by the 240-pip stop, against the balance before the trade.

How Long Losses Stayed Open

A floating loss still open and unrecovered 90 days after it began rules out a Recommended verdict under our methodology. Happy Gold's trades last seconds: half of TMGM's closed within 6 seconds.

Longest position2 hours 8 minutes on TMGM (a buy, January 2022); 5 hours 13 minutes on Eightcap (a buy, September 2023); 27 minutes on OxS. At Risk 2%, TMGM's longest was 32 minutes
Longest open drawdownNot measurable from the public record, which does not show open-trade profit and loss. No position lasted more than 5 hours 13 minutes, so no single trade could have been held in loss for days
Open at our checkNone. Equity equalled balance (100.00%) on TMGM and Eightcap (Myfxbook, 12 October 2026)

What the Sales Page Says, and What the Record Shows

Quoted from the vendor's homepage and Happy Gold product page, read on 12 October 2026.

"Happy Gold MT4/MT5 Profit Factor: 7.03 / Profitability: 92% Fully Verified Myfxbook Results!" (homepage, linking the Eightcap account)On 12 October the Eightcap account showed a profit factor of 6.47 (7.29 on 11 October). 75.4% of its trades made money; 92.2% made money or broke even. The other two verified accounts show 3.89 and 4.83, and 68.2% and 66.8%. Every live account is MT4; we found no MT5 record
"No martingale", "No hedging", "No grid"True of the Scalp record: one position at a time, and trade size follows the balance, not previous losses. The same page also sells a "GridNews" version, which this review does not assess
"Max open trades is one. Uses hard stop loss (-24 pips)"Confirmed on all three verified accounts: no two positions open together. The largest losses were 240 to 257 Myfxbook pips, which count a cent of the gold price as one pip, so 24 of the vendor's pips plus slippage
"Minimal deposit: 100 USD"Where the smallest trade is 0.01 lots of a standard 100-ounce gold contract, that trade loses about $2.40 at the 240-pip stop: 2.4% of $100. Below about $120, Risk 2% cannot be met
"seek consistent high profit - minimal loss performance" (the product page's meta description)Depends on the risk you choose. At about 5%, the vendor's accounts at OxS and Blueberry reached drawdowns of 32.73% and 32.94%

Price and Licence Terms

PriceNot sold on its own. Happy Gold comes in the Happy Forex Full Pack of ten EAs: €699 for 2 licences or €899 for 5, marked "Today 30% Discount" (product page, 12 October 2026). The vendor's FAQ says each of its EAs sold separately includes the Full Pack with one licence
LicenceEach licence is tied to one real account number and can be changed once; demo accounts are unlimited (FAQ). "The license is for the first month and then your will automatically receive free a lifetime license on your email" (product page). The EA needs a serial number with an expiry date, and "will not trade until a valid, unexpired Serial Number is correctly entered"; the vendor sends replacements (manual)
Refunds"a full money-back guarantee during 30 days" if the software "doesn't perform as it should and we cannot do anything about it", and a refund "initiated immediately" if the balance drawdown is more than 25%, "on condition that you use our recommended settings and provided proofs of that". Recommended settings are not defined. The terms also say: "In the event that your were automatically sent new lifetime licenses on the last day so refund money is not possible." The lifetime licence is sent automatically after the first month, so in practice the window closes about when it arrives (terms of use; product page). For scale, the vendor's own OxS account, run at about 5%, fell further than 25%
SellerThe terms name the seller only as "Happy Forex", with no company registration or postal address on that page, and name SendOwl, Inc as "the authorized reseller and merchant". They also say "Happy Forex may terminate any or all services rendered under this Agreement at any time and for any reason", which matters because the EA stops trading without a valid serial number (terms of use)
DownloadWhen our founder asked for the current files, the vendor emailed a link to an installer (.exe), which Chrome blocked as "virus detected". See the disclosure below
SettingsScalp risk presets 1% low, 3% medium, 5% high; Swing 0.5%, 1%, 2%. The risk input accepts any value; this verdict is for Scalp with Risk set to 2%. Scalp runs on XAUUSD M15 or M30; Swing on two H1 and two H4 charts (manual)
Minimum deposit"Minimal deposit: 100 USD", ECN account, spread of 20 pips or less recommended (product page). See above for what $100 means at 2%
Time settingThe automatic GMT setting fetches the time from a third-party address over plain HTTP, which must be allowed in MT4/MT5; a manual offset can be entered instead (manual)
VersionsHappy Gold MT4 v2.0 and MT5 v2.1 (Scalp-Swing); MT4 and MT5 v1.1 (GridNews) (product page)
US brokers (FIFO, no hedging)Yes, as run on all three verified accounts: never two positions open together

Key Evaluation Criteria

  • ✅ Verified record at the recommended setting: passes. Two verified real accounts, TMGM and Eightcap, at about 2% since March 2024: 483 and 482 trades, profit factors 4.71 and 6.79.
  • ✅ Risk structure: passes. One position at a time, a hard stop on every trade, and size that follows the balance: on TMGM at Risk 2%, risk per trade was 1.82% after a loss and 1.81% after a win.
  • ✅ Edge without its best trades: passes. At Risk 2%, TMGM keeps a profit factor of 3.25 with its 10 best trades removed.
  • ✅ Not a bet on rising gold: passes. Gold rose by about 80% to 125% over these records, yet sells made more than buys on all three verified accounts.
  • ✅ Open-trade duration: passes. No position lasted more than 5 hours 13 minutes.
  • ⚠️ Drawdown depends on the setting: at about 2%, under 8% on closed trades; at about 5%, 32.73% and 32.94%. The higher presets would move this verdict down.
  • ⚠️ MT5 and Swing: no live record. The recommendation covers MT4 on the Scalp setting only.
  • ⚠️ Headline figures: the homepage's 7.03 and 92% come from the vendor's best account and appear to count break-even trades as profitable.

Suitability & Risks

What's Genuinely Positive

Why it earned the verdict

The evidence is long, verified and the vendor's own.

  • ✅Two verified real accounts, more than two and a half years each at the recommended risk.
  • ✅A hard stop on every trade, one trade at a time, no martingale.
  • ✅Profitable on both buys and sells.
  • ✅The vendor publishes its weak accounts as well as its best one.
  • ✅Equity equalled balance at our check: nothing left open.
Key Risks

What to watch

Every item is sourced to the vendor's own accounts, pages or manual.

  • ⚠️At about 5% risk, two of its accounts fell more than 32%.
  • ⚠️2% is not a preset; you enter it yourself.
  • ⚠️Trades last seconds, so your broker's spread and execution matter.
  • ⚠️The EA stops trading if its serial number expires, and the terms let the vendor end its services at any time.
  • ⚠️The vendor's installer was blocked as a virus by Chrome; we used the plain files instead.
  • ⚠️Only the MT4 version has a live record.
  • ⚠️$100, the stated minimum, is too small for Risk 2%.

Important Disclosures

Verification History
12 October 2026 — first published, Recommended (MT4, Scalp setting, Risk 2%). Figures read on 12 October 2026 from the vendor's Myfxbook profile, all nine Happy Gold accounts and the full trade histories of the three verified ones, and the vendor's homepage, product page, FAQ and terms of use; ForexPeaceArmy and Trustpilot read on 11 October 2026; the user manual dated 30 August 2024. We do not edit published figures to track current values; we add dated entries here instead.
What would change this verdict. So that this does not rest on our judgement alone, these are the conditions under which we would reassess Happy Gold EA:
  • Either verified account, TMGM or Eightcap, recording a drawdown above 15% while running at about 2% (Myfxbook, or our count on closed trades).
  • Either account's profit factor at Risk 2% falling below 2.0 over any 12 months.
  • Either account being deleted, made private or losing Myfxbook's track-record verification.
  • A new version or re-optimisation of the Scalp setting without a live record of its own.
In the other direction, a verified live MT5 v2.1 account run at Risk 2% for 12 months would let us extend the recommendation to MT5.
What other users report. ForexPeaceArmy rates HappyForex.de 3.677 from 8 reviews. They include a 2022 review of Happy Gold that was strongly critical of its backtest results, to which the vendor replied that the reviewer's backtest was badly configured, and a 2026 five-star review. Trustpilot rates happyforex.de 4.3 from 12 reviews. ForexPeaceArmy's "Happy Gold Real Test" is the vendor's own VT Markets account, not an independent test. These are users' claims, not facts we have verified, and there is no coverage independent of the vendor that we count as corroboration: this recommendation rests on the length of the verified record.
What else is in the Full Pack. Happy Gold is sold only inside a pack of ten EAs, which includes Happy MartiGrid. We have reviewed none of the others. ForexPeaceArmy's performance tests of some of the vendor's other EAs show heavy losses, for example −99.85% on Happy Market Hours. This verdict is for Happy Gold only.
Downloading the files. The vendor delivers Happy Gold through an installer (.exe). When our founder downloaded the current files from the link the vendor emailed, Chrome blocked the download as "virus detected". The vendor replied: "In exe files are only ex4 or ex5 files for Metatrader. This is probably a false detection… Use a different browser or turn off your antivirus." It also sent a VirusTotal report on which 4 of 64 antivirus engines flagged the file; that report covers a 41.95 MB file, while the download offered was 29 MB, so it may not be the same file. Flags like these are common on packed installers and do not show that a file is harmful, but they do not show that it is safe either. We did not turn off our antivirus or run the installer: the plain .ex4/.ex5 and settings files from an earlier purchase were enough. We would not switch off antivirus to install any Expert Advisor; if you buy, ask the vendor for the plain files instead.
How we accessed the vendor's material. Our founder, Jay Slingsby, bought the Happy Forex Full Pack with his own money before September 2024. As an existing customer he asked the vendor for the current files and user guide, about the risk setting its accounts use, and about the TMGM account's month-end entries; the vendor answered, and the current manual came from the vendor; its answers are quoted where we use them. We have not yet run Happy Gold on a live account. Apart from the manual, its answers and download links we did not use, the vendor supplied nothing and paid nothing.
What we verified, and what we did not.

We read the full trade histories of the three verified accounts (995, 733 and 394 trades), reconciled them with Myfxbook's totals, and measured risk per trade, lot progression, holding times, concurrent positions, buy and sell results and profit concentration. We read the six other Happy Gold accounts' Myfxbook pages, the vendor's pages, terms and manual. We did not read the unverified accounts' full histories except Blueberry's, we did not run the EA, we did not test the MT5 version or the Swing setting, and we did not run a prop firm test.

Affiliate Disclosure: Happy Forex runs an affiliate programme paying 30% of sales, less payment processing fees (affiliate page). We have not joined it, and no link on this page is an affiliate link. Under our methodology a programme is only considered after an Expert Advisor has passed. If we join this one, we will add the date here; it will be later than this review's publication date of 12 October 2026, so the order can be checked.
Risk warning. Trading foreign exchange and gold on margin carries a high level of risk and you can lose more than you expect. An Expert Advisor removes the delay between a signal and a trade; it does not remove risk. Past performance, including verified live performance, is not a reliable indicator of future results. The Robotic Trader is an independent publisher, not a regulated financial adviser, and nothing on this page is investment advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Happy Gold EA a scam?
Nothing we checked suggests it is. The vendor publishes its Happy Gold accounts on Myfxbook, including weak ones, and two real-money accounts with verified track records have been profitable at the risk the vendor now uses. Its homepage headline figures come from its best account, and the drawdown you get depends heavily on the risk setting you choose.
Why is Happy Gold EA Recommended?
Because two real-money accounts whose track records Myfxbook verifies, at TMGM and Eightcap, have run its Scalp setting at about 2% risk since March 2024: 483 and 482 trades, profit factors of 4.71 and 6.79, and largest falls in the closed balance of 5.19% and 7.15%. Every trade has a hard stop, only one trade is open at a time, and the profit holds up when the best trades are removed.
Which version and settings does the recommendation cover?
The MT4 version (v2.0) on the Scalp setting, with Risk set to 2%. That is what the verified accounts run. 2% is not one of the manual's Scalp presets (1%, 3%, 5%), so you enter it yourself. The MT5 version and the Swing setting have no live record we could check, so we have not assessed them.
What drawdown should I expect from Happy Gold EA?
It depends on the risk setting. At about 2%, the two verified accounts' largest falls on closed trades were 5.19% and 7.15% from March 2024; Myfxbook records 21.52% and 11.70% over their whole histories, which include periods at about 4% to 10%. At about 5%, the vendor's OxS and Blueberry accounts reached 32.73% and 32.94%.
Is the 92% profitability claim true?
It matches the Eightcap account only if break-even trades are counted as profitable. On 12 October 2026, 553 of its 733 trades made money (75.4%) and 123 closed at exactly $0.00; together that is 92.2%. Its profit factor was 6.47 that day, against the homepage's 7.03. The other two verified accounts show 66.8% to 68.2% profitable trades and profit factors of 3.89 and 4.83.
Does Happy Gold EA use martingale or a grid?
Not the Scalp setting we checked. On all three verified accounts only one position was ever open at a time, and risk per trade stayed the same after a loss as after a win. The vendor also sells a GridNews version of Happy Gold, which we have not assessed.
What does Happy Gold EA cost, and what is the minimum deposit?
It is sold only in the Happy Forex Full Pack: €699 for 2 licences or €899 for 5 (product page, 12 October 2026). The vendor states a minimum deposit of $100, but at Risk 2% a trade of 0.01 lots, the usual smallest size, risks about $2.40, so an account of at least about $120 is needed to keep to 2%.
Does Happy Gold EA work with US brokers?
As run on the verified accounts, yes: it never held two positions at once, so it does not hedge or close trades out of order. Whether a particular US broker offers gold and accepts the EA is a separate question.
