Forex Gump EA Review MT4/MT5

Not Recommended MT4/MT5 25 pairs — grid averaging €199 / €399 Verified 30 Oct 2026
Which Forex Gump is this? This review covers Forex Gump EA, the product currently sold as V4 at forexgump.eu. An MT4 product called "Forex Gump EA" on the MQL5 Market, priced at $33, is listed under a different seller and is not reviewed here. The forexgump.eu site states: "We do not sell our EA on the MQL5 Market."

The Bottom Line

Not Recommended. The Robotic Trader rates Forex Gump EA Not Recommended because its live trade history shows grid averaging. When a currency pair moves against its open trades, it opens more trades in the same direction at worse prices. The trades in a group almost always close at the same second, and no group on the main account closed at a net loss. No stop loss is recorded on any of its closed trades.

The record is the main live account the seller links, a real-money account tracked by FX Blue since September 2022. Of its 14,753 closed trades, 2,495 were added to a group that was already open. All 2,495 were opened at a worse price than every trade already open in that group, and up to 16 trades were open at once on one pair. In 1,317 of the 1,333 groups with more than one trade, every trade closed at the same second. The site's second linked account, labelled "New version V4", shows the same pattern. It also increases trade size as the price moves against it: 497 times an add was larger than the trade before it, at least 462 of them on a clear ladder from 0.01 lots up to 0.70. Under our methodology, any grid, averaging or martingale strategy is Not Recommended, whether the seller discloses it or not. The sales page does not mention a grid.

The strongest case for it is real. The main account has traded real money for more than four years, with a profit in every calendar year. There were two deposits, $4,000 in all, both in 2022, and no withdrawals, so later cash flows play no part in its figures. It closed $8,662.42 in profit: our calculation divides that by the $4,000 deposited, 216.56%, which is not a time-weighted return.

What the record shows overall. Because losing trades are held open rather than stopped out, the closed balance rises smoothly and the risk sits in the trades still open. When we read the account on 30 October 2026, its equity was $8,657.53 against a balance of $12,662.42: 31.6% below balance. FX Blue does not publish the open trades. On the V4 account, equity was $38,604.23 against a balance of $64,782.26: its floating loss of $26,178.03 exceeded the $22,000 deposited, though equity remained above $22,000. On the main account, groups that moved against the EA stayed open for up to 322 days, and one trade was at a loss 246 days after it opened. The V4 account's longest group lasted 577 days.

No group on the main account closed at a net loss, so the record cannot show how large a losing group would be, or what a sustained move against the grid would do.

What would change this verdict is set out in the disclosures below.

Methodology
ⓘ

Evaluation Methodology

This is a Full Review: the main account's real-money record runs more than 24 months, with more than 300 closed trades; see how we test.

What we read:

  • The live records: both FX Blue accounts the seller's site links as "Live Performance".
  • The full closed trade history of each: 14,753 and 21,878 trades, read from FX Blue's own order data and reconciled with FX Blue's totals.
  • The seller's site: the homepage, terms and conditions, and affiliate page.
  • Reviews and tests: Forex Peace Army (its listing and its real-money test) and Trustpilot.
  • The other "Forex Gump EA": its MQL5 listing.

How we grouped the trades. Trades on the same pair and in the same direction that overlap in time form one group, from the first trade opened to the last one closed. We call it a "group", not a cycle, because it is our grouping and not the EA's own label. Groups are reconstructed from closed trades. Lengths are rounded to the nearest day.

The sales page makes no prop-firm claim, so no prop-firm test applies.

Note. Figures were read on 30 October 2026. They are a dated snapshot, not a live feed.
  • Open trades: FX Blue does not publish either account's open trades. We could read only closed trades and the equity and balance totals.
  • Drawdown: FX Blue publishes no peak equity drawdown for either account, so the worst fall in equity is unknown. The 31.6% is the gap between equity and balance on the day we read it.
  • Settings and version: the account labels give 25 pairs, a timeframe (D1 for the main account, H4 for V4) and a risk tag ("Stable CR", "Aggressive HR"). They do not say which of the four sales-page settings or other parameters each runs. The site does not say which version the main account runs; it labels only the second account "New version V4".
  • Tracking: FX Blue shows that the trades came from these accounts. It does not show which settings or EA version placed them.
  • Testing: we did not test the EA ourselves.

How the EA Trades — What the History Shows

What the seller says. The sales page describes "a very profitable Forex Expert Advisor with trendy a candle and News Filter", whose take profit "is always unique". It offers "4 different settings: High, Middle, Low and Conservative" across "9/25 currency pairs from M1 to D1 Timeframe". It does not mention a grid, averaging or adding to losing trades.

What the history shows (main account, all 14,753 closed trades, our calculation). In this section, an "add" is a trade opened while another trade on the same pair, in the same direction, is still open.

Adds2,495 of the 14,753 trades were adds.
All 2,495 were opened at a worse price than every trade still open in that direction, so the market had moved against all of them.
Every add was the same 0.01 lots: averaging, not martingale.
SpacingAdds were mostly about 37 to 50 pips from the previous entry.
Group sizesThe trades formed 12,258 groups. 1,333 had more than one trade, up to 16 at once (GBPCAD sells, July 2023).
Closing togetherIn 1,317 of the 1,333 multi-trade groups, every trade closed at the same second.
No losing groupsNone of the 12,258 groups on the main account closed at a net loss. All 1,777 losing trades were closed inside groups that ended in profit. That does not show that future groups will recover.
The longest group16 GBPCAD sells, the first opened on 10 November 2022 and the last closed on 27 September 2023, 322 days later. That first trade closed at −$75.59 (−1,021.5 pips) after 322 days; the group made +$8.30 overall.

The V4 account (all 21,878 closed trades):

Adds4,753 adds, all at a worse price than every open trade in the group, mostly about 21 to 28 pips apart, with up to 16 open at once.
Size increases497 adds were larger than the trade before (the same total when trades are grouped by each of its two magic numbers). At least 462 of them are steps on one ladder: 0.01 → 0.02 → 0.03 → 0.05 → 0.08 → 0.14 → 0.24 → 0.41 → 0.70 lots. That is martingale sizing. The remaining 35 do not fit the ladder cleanly and may reflect a change in the base lot.
Largest exampleA group of GBPCAD buys from 8 September 2023 that climbed that ladder to 0.70 lots.
Closing togetherIn 2,493 of its 2,515 multi-trade groups, every trade closed at the same second.
Longest group16 USDCHF buys, from 3 March 2025 to 1 October 2026: 577 days.
Losing groups4 of its 17,125 groups closed at a loss, each a single trade of under $1 (24 June 2025).

This is grid averaging, with martingale sizing on the V4 account, which our methodology rates Not Recommended.

How Long Losses Stayed Open

The average trade on the main account lasted about 4.6 days (FX Blue). We publish the longest, because averages hide them; see our methodology. Group lengths are rounded to the nearest day.

Longest group322 days: 16 GBPCAD sells, 10 November 2022 to 27 September 2023. The next longest lasted 212, 210 and 199 days. On the V4 account, 577 days. On the main account, 145 trades were held more than 90 days; 96 of them closed at a loss.
Longest open drawdownFX Blue publishes no equity history for these accounts, so we could not measure how long equity stayed below a previous high.
Open at our checkNot published by FX Blue. Equity was $4,004.89 below balance on 30 October 2026.
Against the 90-day ruleNot measurable as defined; strongly indicated. On the main account, 23 trades were added at worse prices more than 90 days after their group's first trade, while that trade was still open. The latest came 246 days in, so a trade was still at a loss 246 days after it opened. On the V4 account: 21 such adds, up to 296 days in. Without equity history we cannot show the loss went unrecovered throughout. This verdict rests on the averaging.

What the Sales Page Says, and What the Record Shows

"a very profitable Forex Expert Advisor with trendy a candle and News Filter"The history shows a grid that adds to losing trades and closes them as a group. The sales page does not mention this.
"This technology protect you to lose more money than you have specified in the settings of the EA, even if the system crashes"We cannot test this. A 2020 Forex Peace Army reviewer reports an equity stop-out setting, "SafeEquityStopOut", that closes all open trades at a set percentage of floating loss. The accounts do not state whether it is on or at what level, and their open trades are not published. No stop loss is recorded on any closed trade, and equity stood 31.6% and 40.4% below balance when we read the two accounts.
"1058 days history closed account with Total return: +2,711.4%"The sales page does not identify the account, so we cannot verify this figure.
"30 Day Money-Back Guarantee"The terms limit it to accounts whose "balance is in loss" after 20 days of trading with the EA. On the main account, the closed balance never ended any of the 1,493 rolling 20-day periods lower than it began, and it never fell below the amount deposited at the time, even while equity was down. That illustrates why losses held open may not meet a balance-based condition. It does not decide any individual buyer's eligibility.

But on at least one occasion it closed newer trades first: on 31 March 2023 two USDJPY buys closed while four older USDJPY buys stayed open until 10 April. US retail forex accounts at NFA-member dealers must close same-pair trades first in, first out.

Key Evaluation Criteria

  • ❌ No grid, averaging, martingale or recovery strategy: failed. All 2,495 adds on the main account came at a worse price than every open trade in their group. The V4 account also increases trade size: 497 larger adds, at least 462 of them on a clear ladder.
  • ⚠️ Claims match the record: the sales page does not mention the grid. Its loss-protection claim and its +2,711.4% figure cannot be checked from what it publishes.
  • ⚠️ Drawdown in line with the marketing: the sales page gives no drawdown figure, and FX Blue publishes no peak. Equity was 31.6% below balance at our read (40.4% on V4).
  • ⚠️ No wipeout or near-wipeout: no wipeout in either account's published record. A near-wipeout cannot be assessed without equity history, and V4's floating loss was more than its deposits at our read.
  • ✅ Edge: profit factor clear of 1.0: 1.76. An 88.0% win rate with an average loss about four times the average win, per trade, is a warning, not a fail. The 10 best trades made 6.8% of net profit; the best 1% made 45.4% of net profit (19.6% of gross profit).
  • ✅ Real-money record: 1,513 days and 14,753 trades, well past the 24 months and 300 trades a Full Review needs.
  • ✅ Third-party tracked record: both accounts are tracked by FX Blue and linked by the seller.
  • ⚠️ No loss held open beyond 90 days: not measurable as defined, but strongly indicated. A trade was still at a loss 246 days after it opened.

Suitability & Risks

What's Genuinely Positive
  • ✅More than four years of real money on the main account, with a profit in every calendar year.
  • ✅No withdrawals, and deposits only in 2022, so later cash flows play no part in the figures.
  • ✅Profit factor 1.76.
  • ✅No multi-trade group in either account's closed history ended at a net loss. The V4 account had four single-trade losses, each under $1.
Key Risks
  • ⚠️Grid averaging: when a pair keeps moving against a group, the EA keeps adding at worse prices, with no stop loss recorded on any closed trade. On the V4 account, the adds also grow in size.
  • ⚠️Risk the balance does not show: FX Blue does not publish the open trades, and equity stood 31.6% (main) and 40.4% (V4) below balance when we read them. The smooth balance line does not show this.
  • ⚠️Groups held for months: groups that moved against the EA stayed open for up to 322 days (577 on V4).
  • ⚠️No losing multi-trade group in the record: so it cannot tell you how large a losing group would be.
  • ⚠️Payoff: per trade, the average loss is about four times the average win.
  • ⚠️Money-back terms: the condition is a balance in loss, which this way of trading may not produce while losses are held open.
  • ⚠️US brokers: not usable at a US retail forex account as run.

Important Disclosures

Verification History
30 October 2026 — first published, Not Recommended.
  • What we read: both FX Blue accounts linked from forexgump.eu, with their full closed trade histories; the sales page, terms and conditions and affiliate page; the SendOwl affiliate listing; Forex Peace Army's listing and real-money test; Trustpilot; and the MQL5 listing of the other "Forex Gump EA".
  • Our policy: we do not edit published figures to track current values. We add dated entries here instead.
What would change this verdict.
  • While it trades as it does: while Forex Gump trades as a grid that adds to losing trades, it is Not Recommended under our methodology, whatever its profit.
  • A new version: a materially changed version, with an attributable real-money record showing no grid, averaging, martingale or recovery strategy, would need a fresh review against all our other criteria.
The same merchant. Our SendOwl affiliate dashboard shows Forex Gump EA sold through the same merchant account, "AlgoTechSoft", as the Happy Forex Expert Advisors. We rate one of those, Happy Gold EA, Recommended: its verified accounts held one trade at a time, without averaging. We do not know whether the same developer is behind both. Each verdict rests on its own record.
Independent reviews
  • Forex Peace Army (read 30 October 2026): the ForexGump.eu listing is "Not yet rated", with 2 reviews.
    • April 2022: a buyer reports starting with "8 grand" and ending "with 5" after three months.
    • October 2020: a buyer first raised "concerns about the lack of stop loss". He then corrected this, saying a setting, "SafeEquityStopOut", "closes all open trades when a percentage of the account equity is in a floating loss".
    • Forex Peace Army's own real-money test is described under "Other records" above.
  • Trustpilot (read 30 October 2026): forexgump.eu shows a TrustScore of 3.8 from 2 reviews, dated August 2024 and December 2020, both five stars. A separate Trustpilot profile, "Forex Gump srl" (forexgump.it), describes a financial-education business in Milan and does not mention a trading robot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Forex Gump EA a scam?
We have seen no evidence of fraud, and we do not call it one. The seller links two real-money accounts that FX Blue tracks, and the main one has traded for more than four years. Our verdict is about the risk of the strategy those accounts show, not about honesty.
Why is Forex Gump EA rated Not Recommended?
Because its live trade history shows grid averaging. When a pair moves against its open trades, it adds more in the same direction at worse prices. The trades in a group almost always close together, and no group on the main account closed at a net loss. On the main account, all 2,495 adds came at a worse price than every trade already open, with up to 16 open at once and no stop loss recorded on any closed trade. Our methodology rates any grid or averaging strategy Not Recommended, disclosed or not.
Does Forex Gump use a grid or martingale?
A grid, by its trade history: on both accounts the seller links, trades are added at worse prices and closed as a group. The main account trades a fixed 0.01 lots, so it averages without martingale. The account labelled "New version V4" also raises the size as the price moves against it: 497 larger adds, at least 462 on a clear ladder from 0.01 up to 0.70 lots. The sales page mentions neither.
Does Forex Gump use a stop loss?
None is recorded on any of the 36,631 closed trades across the two accounts. On the main account, every trade had a take profit. The sales page says its technology protects you from losing "more money than you have specified in the settings". A 2020 Forex Peace Army reviewer says a setting, "SafeEquityStopOut", closes all open trades when floating loss reaches a set percentage of equity. That is a stop for the whole account, not a stop on each trade. We could not test it: neither account states whether it is on, and their open trades are not published.
Why is the account's equity so far below its balance?
Because losing trades are held open rather than closed. The balance counts only closed trades, and on the main account no group closed at a net loss, so the balance line rises smoothly while the losses sit in the open trades. On 30 October 2026 the main account's equity was 31.6% below its balance and the V4 account's 40.4%. FX Blue does not publish how far equity has fallen at worst.
Which Forex Gump EA is this review about?
Forex Gump EA, currently sold as V4 at forexgump.eu for MT4 and MT5. A $33 MT4 product called "Forex Gump EA" on the MQL5 Market is listed under a different seller, and forexgump.eu says it does not sell on MQL5. We have not reviewed that product.
What does Forex Gump cost, and is there a money-back guarantee?
€199 for one live account or €399 for three (30 October 2026). The site advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee. The terms say a refund applies if, after 20 days of trading with the EA, "your account balance is in loss with a recommended deposit", and the seller may accept or reject the request. On the main live account, the closed balance never ended any of 1,493 rolling 20-day periods lower than it began, while losses were held open, and it never fell below the amount deposited at the time. That does not decide an individual buyer's eligibility.
What deposit does Forex Gump need?
The sales page says "$4000 account, or a minimum of $40 on a micro(cent) account", with leverage of 1:100 or higher. The main live account received two deposits of $2,000 in 2022, $4,000 in all. When we read it, its equity was $4,004.89 below its balance, though equity, at $8,657.53, remained above the $4,000 deposited.
Can I use Forex Gump with a US broker?
Not as the main account runs it. On at least one occasion (March–April 2023) it closed newer trades on a pair before older ones in the same direction, which US retail forex accounts at NFA-member dealers cannot do: they must close first in, first out (NFA Compliance Rule 2-43).
