Expert Advisor Review

Perceptrader AI MT4/MT5

Recommended MT4/MT5 AI-Filtered Grid, Multi-Pair

The Bottom Line

Perceptrader AI is our first Recommended verdict, and it earns that on the length and volume of its live record rather than on outside endorsement. MQL5 has independently monitored the developer's signal since April 2023, on an account it records as 371 weeks old — a little over seven years. She trades her strategies privately before publishing them, which is why the account history predates the "Perceptrader AI" branding launched in 2023. As at 9 September 2026 that account shows 6,683 trades, a 1.50 profit factor, 344.24% cumulative growth, and maximum drawdown of 17.06% by balance and 17.94% by equity across the monitored period, against 21.96% across the full account history recorded on Myfxbook.

Our standard allows a long, high-volume record with a clean red-flag checklist to reach Recommended without independent third-party coverage, where a short or thin record without such coverage would not. That is the basis for this verdict, and we want to be precise about it: we found no coverage of this EA on ForexPeaceArmy or Trustpilot, and we do not treat the Myfxbook account as independent corroboration, because it and the MQL5 signal track the same trading account — the balance matches to the cent. Two windows onto one record is not two sources.

One figure a buyer should weigh carefully: MQL5's forecast based on recent performance is 7.62% a year, with monthly growth running at 0.63%. That is a very different picture from the 344% lifetime number, and on a product costing four figures it materially affects how long it takes to break even.

We found real, disclosable caveats — recurring scarcity marketing tactics, one unsourced testimonial, and one deleted Myfxbook account for a different product — but nothing that amounts to concealment or fabricated validation.

One structural point to understand before buying: this is a grid system that averages into positions. That is disclosed by the developer and managed with real tooling, but it behaves differently from a directional strategy under sustained adverse moves, and it is worth reading how grid and martingale systems accumulate exposure before deciding what size to run it at.

Methodology

Evaluation Methodology

This review was conducted under our Track 1 verification framework, which prioritises live-verified evidence over independently re-run backtests. Track 1 applies exclusively when an Expert Advisor (EA) possesses a genuine, independently tracked live trading history.

We checked both platforms on which this account is published — an MQL5 signal and a Myfxbook profile — and established that they track the same trading account rather than two separate records. We also checked ForexPeaceArmy and Trustpilot and found no coverage of this EA. Under our methodology, the absence of independent coverage does not automatically block a Recommended verdict where the live record is long and high-volume enough to stand on its own; it does block one where the record is short or thin. For a complete breakdown of our metrics and scoring system, read How We Test Expert Advisors.

Note: Live data referenced in this review is drawn from the EA's public, independently-hosted MQL5 Signal and the developer's public Myfxbook account — not self-reported figures. Every figure we publish is a dated snapshot carrying its source and the period it covers, not a live-updating number. Where an EA's performance changes materially after publication, we add a dated update rather than quietly editing the original figures.

Reference account funding5,000 USD initial deposit; 8,000 USD withdrawn to date
Slippage dataNot published on this signal
Figures recorded directly from MQL5's independently-monitored signal servers and the developer's public Myfxbook account. Both track the same trading account — balance, trade count and profit factor match exactly — so we present them as one record viewed two ways, not as two independent sources. The two drawdown periods differ because MQL5 has only monitored the signal since April 2023, while Myfxbook covers the longer account history. Because this account has taken deposits and withdrawals, we do not publish an annualised return figure: percentage growth is not a reliable basis for annualising where capital has moved in and out. We report the Sharpe ratio for completeness but do not treat it as a pass or fail measure, as platform-reported Sharpe is not comparable across differing monitoring periods and trade counts. Past performance, including verified live performance, is not a guarantee of future results.

Key Evaluation Criteria

  • Live Verification: MQL5-monitored signal since April 2023, on an account MQL5 records as 371 weeks old — 6,683 trades and 99% algorithmic execution.
  • Risk Profile: Grid strategy openly and thoroughly disclosed. Maximum drawdown 17.06% by balance and 17.94% by equity over the monitored period, and 21.96% across the full account history.
  • ⚠️Independent Corroboration: None found on ForexPeaceArmy or Trustpilot. The Myfxbook account is the same account as the MQL5 signal, so we do not count it as a second source.
  • ⚠️Recent Return Rate: Monthly growth of 0.63% and an annual forecast of 7.62% — materially below what the 344% lifetime figure suggests, and central to whether a four-figure purchase price makes sense.
  • ⚠️Marketing Tactics: Recurring scarcity and urgency pricing found across promotional history; one unsourced testimonial identified.
  • ⚠️Track Record Transparency: One unrelated product's Myfxbook account found deleted; disclosed factually, reason unconfirmed.

Suitability & Risks

Ideal User

Who is this for?

Traders comfortable with grid-related risk, who value a long and high-volume live record over a short one with better headline numbers, and who have the capital for the return rate to justify the purchase price.

  • Comfortable with a one-time four-figure cost — $1,960 as at 10 September 2026, list price $2,800 — and a hedging account requirement
  • Running enough capital that a 7.62% forecast annual return still justifies the purchase price
  • Values a long, high-volume verified record over a short one with stronger headline metrics
  • Prefers a developer with a documented, non-defensive approach to risk complaints
Key Risks

What to watch out for

Real, disclosed caveats — none amount to concealment, but all are worth weighing before buying.

  • ⚠️Grid mechanics accumulate exposure during sustained adverse moves, however well disclosed
  • ⚠️Recent return rate of 0.63% monthly against a four-figure purchase price — the payback period is long on a modest account
  • ⚠️Maximum drawdown reaches 21.96% across the full account history
  • ⚠️No independent review coverage found, and the two platforms shown track a single account
  • ⚠️Recurring scarcity and urgency pricing tactics across promotional history
  • ⚠️One unsourced, unverifiable authority-style testimonial identified

Verification History
13 August 2026 — initial assessment. 6,626 trades, 65.63% win rate, 1.51 profit factor, 17.06% maximum drawdown, 12.77 recovery factor.
9–10 September 2026 — re-verified against both platforms. 6,683 trades, 65.58% win rate, 1.50 profit factor, 17.06% drawdown by balance and 17.94% by equity, 12.82 recovery factor, 344.24% growth, 0.63% monthly growth, 7.62% annual forecast. Myfxbook confirms 21.96% maximum drawdown across the full account history and a matching balance of $11,135.91.
This re-verification also corrected two errors in our original review: we had presented the 17.06% drawdown alongside a seven-year track record, when that figure covers only the monitored period from April 2023; and we had described the MQL5 and Myfxbook records as independent corroboration, when they track the same account. Both are corrected above. We do not edit published figures to track current values — we add dated entries here instead.
What would change this verdict. So that this does not rest on our judgement alone, these are the conditions under which we would downgrade Perceptrader AI from Recommended:
  • Maximum drawdown exceeding 30% on either measure, against 21.96% across the account's full history to date.
  • Profit factor falling below 1.20 on the extended sample, from 1.50 today.
  • Three consecutive negative months.
  • The MQL5 signal being deleted or made private, removing the evidence base.
  • Credible independent evidence of misrepresentation by the developer.
Our affiliate relationship with this developer does not exempt this EA from any of the above. If it breaches them, the verdict changes and the commission stops.
On the two platforms: this EA's live record appears on both a public MQL5 Signal and a public Myfxbook account. We verified that these track the same trading account — balance, trade count and profit factor match exactly — and we therefore treat them as one record, not as two independent sources. We did not independently re-verify trade-by-trade execution or broker conditions, and we did not purchase or run the EA ourselves. Note also that the two platforms report account metadata differently: MQL5 lists ICEMarkets-Server at 1:300, with one recorded leverage change within the 1:300–1:500 range, while Myfxbook's profile metadata differs. We flag the discrepancy rather than resolve it. Past performance, including verified live performance, is not a guarantee of future results.
This developer's promotional history shows recurring scarcity and urgency pricing tactics (e.g. limited-time price increases). We also identified one testimonial attributed to an unnamed, unverifiable industry source. Neither reflects on the live evidence itself, but both are disclosed as genuine marketing-related findings.
A separate Myfxbook account for a different product by this developer (Waka Waka EA) was found deleted. We could not confirm the reason. We are disclosing this factually, without implying wrongdoing.
In an independent, platform-hosted review of a different product by this developer, we found a useful example of how she handles grid-related risk complaints. Rather than denying the criticism, she attributed the outcome to risk settings incompatible with the account's leverage, and pointed to the risk-management tooling she has built to prevent exactly that. It is a genuine positive on her general approach — grid risk is real, and she addresses misuse directly rather than deflecting it. Noted once here as context, not as a finding about Perceptrader AI itself.
We also trade this EA ourselves. We started running Perceptrader AI on our own live account on 18 August 2026. You can see our live Perceptrader AI results on our Copy Trading page. That account has only a short history and is disclosed for transparency, not presented as additional evidence for the verdict above, which was reached using the developer's own long-running signal.
Affiliate Disclosure: The Robotic Trader is an affiliate of Valery Trading. This relationship began after our review was published and our Recommended verdict reached — the affiliate program did not exist for us at the time of vetting, so it could not have influenced the outcome. We may earn a commission if you purchase through our link, at no extra cost to you. This is currently the only EA we review that earns us anything, which is precisely why the downgrade thresholds above are published.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Perceptrader AI Recommended?
On the length and volume of its verified live record: 6,683 trades on an account MQL5 records as 371 weeks old, with a 1.50 profit factor and a clean red-flag checklist. Our methodology allows a long, high-volume record to reach Recommended without independent third-party coverage, where a short or thin record could not. Real caveats exist and we disclose them, but none amount to concealment.
Is the evidence independently corroborated?
Not in the sense that phrase usually implies, and we want to be straight about it. This EA's record appears on both MQL5 and Myfxbook, but we verified that both track the same trading account — the balance matches to the cent. That is one record shown in two places, not two independent sources. We found no coverage on ForexPeaceArmy or Trustpilot either. The verdict rests on the length and volume of the record, not on outside endorsement.
What return should I actually expect?
Recent performance is the number to weigh, not the headline. MQL5 reports monthly growth of 0.63% and an annual forecast of 7.62%, against 344.24% cumulative growth since April 2023. The forecast is a projection from recent performance rather than a measurement, but on a product costing four figures it matters: on a modest account, the purchase price alone could take a long time to recover. We do not publish an annualised return for this account because deposits and withdrawals make percentage growth an unreliable basis for annualising.
How much does Perceptrader AI cost?
Checked on 10 September 2026, it was listed at $1,960, discounted from a $2,800 list price. That is a one-time purchase with a lifetime licence covering 10 MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 activations. This developer runs frequent discount periods, so confirm the current figure on the official product page.
Is Perceptrader AI available for MT4?
Yes. A single purchase covers both platforms — the licence includes 10 MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 activations, so you are not buying separate MT4 and MT5 versions. You can get it here.
What currency pairs does Perceptrader AI trade?
Six crosses on the verified signal: GBPCHF, NZDCAD, AUDCAD, NZDUSD, USDCAD and AUDNZD. It averages 18 trades per week with an average holding time of 19 hours. Worth checking before running it alongside another EA — overlapping pairs can create correlated exposure that neither strategy accounts for.
Does Perceptrader AI use a grid strategy?
Yes, openly and thoroughly disclosed by the developer, including detailed risk-management settings specifically designed to manage grid-related risk. Grid strategies accumulate exposure during sustained adverse moves, so position sizing and leverage settings matter more here than with most strategy types. The verified signal's worst single trade was −264.93 USD against a best of +899.61 USD, with a maximum of seven consecutive losses.
What is the maximum drawdown of Perceptrader AI?
Two periods apply, because they measure different windows of the same account. Over the period MQL5 has monitored the signal (April 2023 to September 2026), maximum drawdown is 17.06% by balance and 17.94% by equity. Across the full account history recorded on Myfxbook, it is 21.96%. Both were verified on 9–10 September 2026.
How long has Perceptrader AI actually been live?
MQL5 records the underlying account as 371 weeks old — a little over seven years — while the signal itself has only been publicly monitored since 8 April 2023. This developer trades her strategies privately before publishing them, which is why the account history predates the "Perceptrader AI" branding and its AI-filtering layer, both launched in 2023.
What would make you downgrade this EA?
Five specific things, published above so you can hold us to them: maximum drawdown exceeding 30% on either measure; profit factor falling below 1.20 on the extended sample; three consecutive negative months; the MQL5 signal being deleted or made private; or credible independent evidence of misrepresentation. We earn an affiliate commission on this EA and on no other we review, which is exactly why those thresholds are stated in advance rather than left to our discretion.
Do you trade Perceptrader AI yourselves?
Yes, as of 18 August 2026. You can see our live Perceptrader AI results on our Copy Trading page. That account has only a short history and isn't part of the evidence behind our verdict, which is based on the developer's own long-running signal.
What broker and account type does Perceptrader AI require?
A hedging account is required. The verified live signal runs on ICEMarkets-Server at 1:300, per the MQL5 signal page, which also records one leverage change within the 1:300–1:500 range. That is the account the signal was recorded on, not a requirement of the EA itself.
